You may already be aware that gang activity is reportedly on the rise in Sacramento County. Arden Arcade is not immune from this community problem. Please join us as Sacramento County Sheriff Detective Jason Ramos provides a presentation on gang awareness. Crime Prevention Specialist Cindy Burdette and Sheriff Sergeant Scott Hufford and Lt. Brelje will be available to answer questions specific to the Arden Arcade area.

We will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Sheriff's Marconi Station Community Room, 2500 Marconi Avenue, Sacramento (near Fulton & Marconi).

We will also conduct our quarterly service project at the March meeting. Members and guests are asked to bring "wish list" items for the Sacramento County Animal Shelter. Specific needs include

  • Kongs - hard rubber, stuffable dog chew toy
  • Peanut butter - to stuff in the Kongs
  • Dog toys
  • Harnesses for dogs
  • Yard pooper scoopers - the two handled type
  • Timothy Hay - a special hay for rabbits available at feed stores
Other items on the wish list can be found at http://www.saccountyshelter.net/how-you-can-help/wish-list/. Right now old towels and blankets are not needed. Please bring your items to the March meeting and they will be delivered to the shelter.

If you forgot last month - please renew your membership at the meeting. Annual dues are still only $15.00. Or you may also mail your renewal check to the AACA at P.O. Box 215251, Sacramento CA 95821.
